Hi friends,
Ever dreamed of swimming with humpback whales? How about diving with Manta Rays off the coast of Hawaii? Sounds pretty dreamy, right? Well, Nadia from ScubaDiverLife.com has done all that and more – and she’s here today to share some of the most impressive highlights from her diving adventures.
The ocean covers 71 percent of the Earth’s surface and contains 97 percent of the planet’s water, yet more than 95 percent of the underwater world remains unexplored. Crazy, right? I guess we wouldn’t really be journeying the earth if we didn’t dive into the amazing underwater world every once in a while. Thank goodness Todd has that covered. Jeanette’s still working on entering the ocean in scuba gear without having a panic attack (but she’s totally down to swim with sea life, like this awesome whale shark).
But until then, let’s check out some of Nadia’s amazing dives, shall we?
Why did you start Scuba Diver Life.com?
I won a contest to Fiji and it turned out to be a scuba diving trip. I looked online for some resources on diving in Fiji, and wasn’t too happy with what I found. After working in the digital media industry, I was quick to notice a huge gap in digital media in the scuba diving industry. I was quick to start ScubaDiverLife.com and haven’t stopped since.
You are an amazing underwater photographer!
What camera rig, settings/lens do you prefer and what’s your favorite subject to shoot?
Thanks!
I use a Canon 5d Mark lll and have the following lenses:
I love photographing any type of animal, mostly underwater though. I want to show people who don’t dive what animals in the ocean look like.
What’s your most nerve-wracking experience from your travels abroad?
I can’t think of any incident that has had me on my nerves. I feel like I can usually take care of a scenario that happens. I plan out everything pretty well and have back up plans in safe for most destinations I go to.
